Simply put, Sonoma County will finance 100% of a solar energy system’s cost at a 7% interest rate. This will be amortized over 20 years and added to the property taxes as a special assessment. On top of that, you, as a business owner, will get a 30% federal tax grant. Under Sun Light & Power’s special program, you will not be required to put any money down, so you are cash flow positive from day one.
