**Multi-family Housing | PV &amp; Solar Thermal | Santa Clara, CA**

SCS Development contacted Sun Light &amp; Power to design a solar energy solution that would not only provide shade for residents' cars, but also eliminate the electric bill for the building's common areas. Amenities include electric vehicle charging stations and a resort-style swimming pool/spa heated by solar thermal, creating modern comfort in a sustainable manner. As a bonus, this market-rate, multi-family apartment complex will receive a five-year performance based incentive (PBI) from Silicon Valley Power.

**Greenhouse gas emissions offset = 119 Metric Tons, the equivalent to:**

- 274 barrels of oil consumed.
- 284,058 miles driven by an average car.
- 0.945 acres of U.S. Forests preserved from conversion to cropland in one year.
