Sun Light & Power installed a 60.5 kW solar photovoltaic system at Verana Hill, a sustainable affordable housing community in Albany, California. The system features 112 Boviet solar modules paired with a SolarEdge inverter, producing an estimated 94,173 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of renewable electricity each year. This clean energy installation helps reduce utility costs while supporting long-term sustainability goals for the community.
According to EPA equivalency data, the solar system at Verana Hill will prevent approximately 33.6 short tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually (tCO₂e/a). That’s the environmental equivalent of taking 7.1 average cars off the road or avoiding 77,680 miles of driving. It also offsets the burning of 3,432 gallons of gasoline, around 40% of a full tanker truck (0.404). These savings continue year after year.
Verana Hill provides safe, affordable housing while prioritizing environmental responsibility. Sun Light & Power is proud to contribute renewable energy solutions that benefit both residents and the planet.
