These Terms of Use (ā€œTermsā€) govern your access to and use of the website located at sunlightandpower.com (the ā€œWebsiteā€). The Website is provided to assist customers in going solar by learning about solar energy and its benefits, submitting a free quote, and shopping for services and products.  By accessing or using the Website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms or our Privacy Policy, please do not use the Website.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and the Privacy Policy (collectively, the ā€œAgreementā€). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be legally bound by the Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of our Website immediately.

  • User-Generated Content: If you submit or post any content (e.g., comments, reviews, feedback, referrals, requests for quotes, etc.) to the Website, you grant Sun Light & Power a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide license to use, modify, distribute, and display such content. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to any content you submit.  You agree to provide accurate and current information as requested by our questionnaires, estimating tools, or other forms. If any information you provide is inaccurate, outdated, or violates any applicable laws, SLP reserves the right to reject your request, suspend your use of the Website, or charge additional fees. You are responsible for ensuring that your submissions do not violate any third-party rights or contain unlawful or objectionable content. 
  1. No Direct Sales

Please note that we do not conduct any direct sales through the Website. The Website may provide general information, product descriptions, and other content related to our services, but we do not facilitate or process any transactions directly through this Website.

We work with independent solar providers and other third-party partners. While we conduct due diligence on these partners, we make no guarantees regarding their products or services. We disclaim all liability for injury, damage, or loss resulting from the actions or omissions of third-party product and service providers. Any issues with third-party products and services should be addressed directly with the provider.

The Website may contain links to third-party websites, products, or services that are not owned or controlled by us.  We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or actions of third-party websites. You acknowledge and agree that Sun Light & Power shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of any third-party content or services.

Third-Party Relationships: No agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship is established between you and SLP or any of our third-party partners through your use of the Website.

  1. Privacy Policy and Data Compliance

Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Arbitration will occur in California, unless both parties agree to another venue. 

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Alameda County, California, for any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Website. Any legal action not resolved through arbitration must be filed within one year of the cause of action and in a court located in California.

  1. Entire Agreement and Severability
