Affordable Housing | PV | Oakland, CA
Sun Light & Power is honored to have provided a 93.6 kW solar PV system for Casa Arabella, a thoughtfully designed affordable housing development in Oakland, California. The system is projected to generate around 132,912 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of renewable electricity each year. This rooftop array features 208 ET Solar modules paired with a SolarEdge SE80KUS inverter, bringing long-term energy savings and environmental benefits to the residents.
Based on EPA estimates, the solar installation at Casa Arabella will prevent approximately 73.9 short tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually (tCO₂e/a). That’s equivalent to the emissions from 15.6 typical passenger vehicles traveling a combined 170,710 miles. The same amount of pollution would be produced by burning 7,543 gallons of gasoline - nearly enough to fill a full tanker truck (0.887 of one, to be precise). And remember, these numbers reflect savings every single year!
Casa Arabella, led by EBALDC and The Unity Council, is committed to supporting families, veterans, and seniors through stable, affordable housing. Sun Light & Power is proud to partner in that vision by helping create a cleaner, healthier future powered by solar energy.
