Sun Light & Power designed and installed solar systems for both the HUB and Housing buildings at Parkmoor Community Apartments & The HUB Center in San Jose, California. The HUB building features a 22 kW system with 40 Boviet modules and a SolarEdge inverter, producing approximately 30,800 kilowatt-hours (kWh) annually. The Housing building includes a 118.8 kW system with 166 Boviet modules and two SolarEdge inverters, generating an estimated 166,320 kWh each year. Combined, the two buildings produce nearly 197,120 kWh of renewable electricity annually, supporting energy efficiency and sustainability across the entire property.
EPA equivalency calculations for the combined systems show that Parkmoor Community Apartments will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 78.2 short tons annually (tCO₂e/a). That’s the equivalent of taking 16.6 gasoline-powered cars off the road or avoiding 180,842 miles of driving. The systems also offset 7,991 gallons of gasoline, roughly 0.94 of a full tanker truck. These benefits are realized every year.
Parkmoor Community Apartments provides community services and affordable housing while prioritizing sustainability and energy efficiency. Sun Light & Power is proud to support this mission by delivering clean energy solutions that benefit both residents and the environment.
