Sun Light & Power is proud to have designed and built an 82.9 kW solar PV system for the Rengstorff Park Aquatics Center in Mountain View, California. The system is expected to generate approximately 126,800 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean electricity annually. The rooftop installation features 204 DualSun solar modules paired with a SolarEdge SE80KUS inverter, delivering reliable, renewable energy to support the city’s sustainability goals and reduce the facility’s dependence on fossil fuels.
According to the EPA's calculator, the solar panels at Rengstorff Park will reduce greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel-generated electricity by the equivalent of 70.5 short tons of CO₂ annually (tCO₂e/a). This is equal to the emissions from 14.9 average cars traveling about 162,860 miles in total. These cars would burn 7,196 gallons of gasoline - enough to fill nearly one full tanker truck (0.847, to be exact).
The City of Mountain View is committed to providing safe, sustainable, and inclusive recreation facilities for the entire community. Sun Light & Power is honored to support that mission through this high-impact solar installation, helping to make clean energy a visible part of everyday life in Mountain View.
