Sun Light & Power is excited to have brought clean energy to the heart of Point Reyes Station with the installation of a 36 kW solar PV system at Toby’s Feed Barn, a beloved community gathering space and local institution. The system features 80 high-efficiency REC solar modules and three SolarEdge inverters, working together to generate an estimated 55,281 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of renewable electricity per year, helping Toby’s power its operations more sustainably.
Based on EPA calculations, the solar array at Toby’s Feed Barn will prevent approximately 30.7 short tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually (tCO₂e/a). That’s similar to taking 6.5 gasoline-powered cars off the road or avoiding 71,002 miles driven. The system also offsets the burning of 3,137 gallons of gasoline, which is nearly 37% of a full tanker truck (0.369 to be exact).
Toby’s Feed Barn blends history, sustainability, and community engagement in a way few places do. Sun Light & Power is proud to contribute to that legacy with a solar solution that supports both environmental responsibility and local resilience.
