West Grand & Brush Apartments

West Grand Brush Apartments Hero

Sun Light & Power is proud to have designed and installed a 68.75 kW solar photovoltaic system for the West Grand & Brush Apartments in Oakland, California. The system features 125 Boviet solar modules paired with a SolarEdge inverter and is designed to generate approximately 97,625 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean electricity each year, helping offset energy use while supporting long-term sustainability goals.

Based on EPA greenhouse gas equivalency data, the solar installation at West Grand & Brush will reduce carbon emissions by an estimated 38.2 short tons of CO₂ annually (tCO₂e/a). This impact is comparable to removing 8.1 gasoline-powered vehicles from the road or avoiding 88,302 miles of driving. It also equates to eliminating the combustion of 3,902 gallons of gasoline, nearly half of a full tanker truck (0.459).

West Grand & Brush provides much-needed affordable housing while prioritizing environmental responsibility and community resilience. Sun Light & Power is honored to contribute clean energy solutions that support both housing stability and climate action.
