Old Adobe Elementary School

School | PV | Petaluma, CA

The Old Adobe School District elected to have Sun Light & Power install solar on four schools, resulting in a savings of over $1 million in energy costs over the next 20 years. By signing a Solar Power Purchase Agreement through SolEd Benefit Corp, the district did not have to buy the systems or take on debt. A teacher from each school will be trained on monitoring procedures and overall function of the ground-mounted arrays. Both teachers and students will take a proactive role in understanding renewable energy and reducing their carbon footprint.
